The Nanophotonics group at CSIC specializes in explaining and predicting new phenomena involving the interaction of light with nanostructructures. The group has extensive experience in the following specific areas: - Plasmonics (metallic nanoparticles, particle arrays, guided plasmons, optical sensing, etc.)
- Electron microscopy and spectroscopy (EELS, cathodoluminescence, etc.)
- Quantum phenomena in nanostructured systems (electron-photon interaction, quantum friction, electronic excitations, etc.)
- Various aspects of electromagnetic and wave phenomena (electromagnetic forces, periodic structures, etc.)
